|  | How and where can I get BEE ? |
FreeDOS BEE is distributed in three supports : BlackLayer CDs, MiniCDs and WebRelease. The web space don't allow us to download the entire distribution, and if it does, you're not going to download about 80Mb or more with your Modem, are you ?!
To get some information about those supports :
|
 | ||
| The black layer CD-ROMS of the BEE distribution is distributed by CBF Multimedia, the distributor of Bekasoft Productions' programs and software. Those CDs contain a variety of programs and tools from the KamexOS Alpha Edition. A big number of free games is available. The entire distribution requires more than 600Mb of hard disk space. | ||
| Those disks were recorded using 8x speed to preserve compatibility with CD drives. This distribution is the optimal for gamers using a Pentium II or less. Many source codes are available too. | ||
|
 | ||
| The MiniCDs' version of BEE contain the web version as well as many tools from the KamexOS Alpha Edition. The entire space is less than 200Mb of disk space. Source codes are limited, unfortunately. | ||
| These supports are distributed by BEE members and recorded using 4x speed to preserve compatibility with old systems. | ||
|
 | ||
| When you download this distribution, you will find just the basic structure of BEE, with Seal 2.0 desktop. You will be asked during installation about the Authentification key, there, type the following : D20M01Y03-20H04M. Remember that O is a zero, not an oh. |

I see that all distributions did not come with an innovation ! Yes, every one tries to include the latest programs and tools into his distribution without changing the global aspect.
Some of my friends (who don't know anything about FreeDOS) say about the trial version of BEE : "I can call it : a powerful multimedia DOS", others say :"This is a DOS cloning UNIX ?". Our goal is not to distribute FreeDOS, I told Jim Hall that we want to make BEE looking nearer to the first structure of Linux.
Some industrial and commercial companies in Tunisia and may
be everywhere still use DOS because it's faster than handling a mouse and
waiting for the ink jet printer ! They love handling rapidly the keyboard and
the matrix printer. They want a DOS with a place for documents, handling CD-ROMs,
sound and music, etc..
I was versed in MS-DOS since 1997 and I see that it's just
for masters to handle it.
Inspired from the structure of UNIX, BEE corrected the mistakes of other DOS distributions, and why not, those of standard FreeDOS, this is the basic directory structure of BEE :

 AutoINIT
was the starting manager of KamexOS AlphaEdition, it loads the memory managers,
keyboard drivers, sound drivers etc... In addition, it enables users to log into
their private folders and files. The BEE version of AutoINIT is graphical,
enabling to log in, shutdown, restart, standby, etc...

I'm thinking of givin the AutoINIT development to Ms Besma, our ADA and C programmer, in order to enhance it with multi-user functions.
